Abstract: The article deals with the possibilities of applying linguistics and informatics in the area of Czech law. The PES (Legal Electronic Dictionary) project is based on three parts: 1) the doctrinal dictionary with individual ontology, 2) legal and general corpus, 3) linguistics means for analyses of legal texts (Bonito – Sketch Engine). The program is freely available on the WEB and it is used for research, teaching and legislation. The examples of application are included.
