Abstract: Until recently, the term "legal ethics" has not received much attention in Czech literature. However, the situation has developed dynamically, the number of texts and authors using the term are rising. The growing interest in the term also means a different usage of the term, which often impairs its comprehensibility. The paper thus aims to describe the current forms of use of the term, systematize them and thereby clarify the discussion in the future. Therefore, the text describes Czech practice of use of the term in detail, and briefly introduces Anglo-American terminology. The description is followed by a more analytical part, which comments on the current usage and draws attention to the pitfalls accompanying it.
