Abstract: The article deals with the law of political parties in the Czechoslovak Republic in the 1920s and 1930s. Its aim is to comprehensively present the legislation and jurisprudence that influenced the functioning of political parties in this period. It focuses on legislation governing associations, elections, and on other specialized legislation. The article criticizes the major shortcomings of the then law of political parties and explains them in the contemporary context. The aim of the article is to summarize the long history of legal regulation of political parties in our territory as a possible source of inspiration for the present time, both in a positive and negative sense.
